About the Farm

A certified organic u-pick blueberry and flower farm in Snoqualmie Valley - carrying forward more than a century of farming history on this land.

Rooted in History

This land has been farmed for over 100 years. Before blueberries were planted here, cows grazed these fields, and the property operated as a dairy farm in the early 1900s. (If you look closely at the barn, you’ll still see a faded sign marking the year it was built.)

Long before then, this land was home to indigenous communities, including the Snoqualmie Tribe, who cared for and moved through this valley for generations.

Today, the farm is home to organic blueberries and flowers, two goats, one honorary farm dog and a creek that rambles from Ames Lake to Snoqualmie River. In November, if the timing is right, you can even see Coho salmon making their journeys back home.

For nearly three decades, the Turner family has worked this farm. Scott Turner continues that legacy today. When he is not tending to berries, soil, irrigation, goats, and farm projects, he serves the community as a firefighter in Redmond, Washington.

When you’re on the farm, you may run into members of staff who are a bit furry.

Ruby and Junior are part of the welcoming committee and are usually quick to announce guests as they arrive.

After visiting for over a month, Nini became the honorary farm dog, and can occasionally be found recovering from strenuous farm duties on the porch after a long day in the fields.

Certified Organic Berries

The farm grows Nui, Bluecrop, and Toro blueberries — varieties selected specifically for flavor rather than commercial shipping durability.

Many supermarket berries are bred to withstand transportation and long shelf lives. The berries planted here decades ago were chosen for a different reason entirely: they are simply some of the best tasting ones in the world!

Caring for the land responsibly has long been part of the farm’s philosophy. For nearly two decades, it has been one of the few certified organic farms in the region.

The process and practice to be certified is a long-term commitment, but it feels worthwhile. It is one meaningful way to give back to the land that continues to give so much in return.

TINY FRUIT,
IMPRESSIVE NUTRITION

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, fiber, vitamin C, and manganese — one of the many reasons they’re as beloved for everyday eating as they are for pies.
