THE IDEAL
INDIGO SKIES DAY
Start the day on a bike, cycling with friends or family along the valley roads.
Arrive at the farm while the rows are still cool from the morning air. Pick blueberries slowly. Taste as you go.
Dip your heels in Ames Creek.
Bring lunch for a picnic or head into Duvall for dinner before returning for an evening walk through the fields.
Stay until dusk if you can, as the frogs erupt in chorus. That’s when the valley softens, the air cools and the surrounding mountains blush.
BLUEBERRY PICKING TIPS
Look for berries that are fully blue with no reddish coloring — those are the sweetest and ripest for picking.
Ripe blueberries come off the bush easily with a gentle roll of your fingers.
The best berries are often farther from the main entrance and the crowds. Folks are highly encouraged to find their own secret stash!
Blueberries freeze well, so pick to your hearts content and enjoy them throughout the year!
FLOWER PICKING TIPS
Flowers will also be available at the farm late-season!
For the longest-lasting bouquet, choose flowers that are just beginning to open rather than those in bloom.
When cutting, trim stems at a 45-degree angle to help your flowers drink up plenty of water.
Pick only the flowers you plan to purchase, and place them into water right away to keep them fresh and happy.

Yes! Being certified organic is more than a growing philosophy—it's a rigorous, independently verified process. To maintain certification, farms must follow strict USDA organic standards, keep detailed records, undergo regular inspections, and demonstrate compliance year after year. Certification provides customers with confidence that organic claims have been verified by an independent third party.
